  • Research and Teaching Interests

My research in global and transnational film studies focuses on French/Francophone and Japanese cinemas, documentary, ecocinema, and nuclear culture. Current interests include film production across linguistic and national borders and the environmental impacts of filmmaking and emerging technologies.

I teach courses on global cinema, film history and theory, cultural exchange in filmmaking, and media and the environment. I also teach a Core course on critical thinking.
