  • Research and Teaching Interests

My research focuses on understanding how migrants claim their membership in East Asian countries and how various social categories influence their experiences of integration in the host country. Currently, I am conducting a comparative project that examines citizenship practices among marriage migrants in Japan and South Korea. Additionally, I am exploring IT skilled migration from South Korea to Japan and examining the relationship between migrant labor and the flexible labor market structures of the host country. I teach courses on migration, citizenship, and gender.
